Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand? (Job 26:14)
A tropical thunderstorm in Suriname makes me feel small and insignificant. Every thunderclap makes me realise I and everything I own can be destroyed in a second. And who am I to blame someone for that?
Still I know I’m of great value. So small, but so important. Seen by my Creator.
I use to say things about Him, thinking I understand His ways. Sometimes I tell others about His doings, trying to put into words His immeasurable wisdom. But when He thunders from heaven I’m silenced, realising God is incomprehensible.
To believe in Him is not an achievement, to belong to Him not of works. It is magnificent, inconceivable and incomparable.
God is incomprehensible, but still approachable.
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: (1 Corinthians 1:30)
